Design and Handling

The Nikon Z50 features an ergonomic and sleek design. It could be physically lighter and smaller sized than full-frame Z models but still has the similar deep grip that is very comfortable to carry. The design features weather-sealing and magnesium build. It has fewer buttons as compared to Z7 and Z6, but contact icons replace a few of the functionality of the camera’s physical control keys. Included in Z50’s body are a 3.2-inch tilting touchscreen, high-resolution electronic viewfinder, and a pop-up flash.

Image Quality

The sensor of Z50 is similar in terms of quality to the DSLR-style DX lineup from Nikon. For the cost of the camera, this is a very strong sensor.
