The FJ400-SE 400Ws Studio Strobe arrives as Westcott's AC-only strobe from their popular FJ series. The FJ400-SE holds various FJ400 features for photographers in need of more simplicity. This manual-only strobe is part of the FJ wireless ecosystem that translates as a built-in 2.4 GHz receiver and is synonymous with convenience for compatibility with the brand's separately available FJ triggers or speedlights. Power is adjustable with a precise 6-stop output range from 12.5 to 400Ws (1/32 power to full) in 0.1 and 1.0-stop increments. Fast 0.5 to 1.0 sec recycle is backed by flash durations as short as 1/200 sec to make the FJ400-SE the ideal strobe for portraits, products, and other reliable studio work. This version includes a 14.8' long AC US power cord.

Lightweight at 3.9 lb, the FJ400-SE is a simple, compact strobe solution for photographers who are familiar with the FJ system, as well as those who have never used the Westcott strobes before. This AC-only strobe provides accurate color with a consistent 5500K CCT and a 15W daylight LED modeling light, while keeping the build quality of the original FJ400. You can run the FJ400-SE just about anywhere there's electricity via 110-120 VAC using the region specific US power cord. Find reliable studio results with less complexity.
Consistent Results
Its 400Ws capacity and compact form factor create opportunities in the studio for optimum strobe lighting in many situations. Fast recycle will keep up with fast-paced shooting, along with adjustable recycle modes for consistent performance on longer shoots. The FJ400-SE allows for 0.5 to 1.0 sec fast or 0.5 to 3.0 sec stable recycling. Another highlight of the FJ400-SE is a precise 6 f-stop output range from 12.5 to 400Ws (1/32 power to full) in 0.1 and 1.0 increments for fine-tuning. Short flash durations ensure uniform exposure. The flash duration t0.1 is 1/200-1/300 sec and the effective flash duration t0.5 is 1/200-1/1200 sec. It is worth mentioning its manual-only mode with front and rear curtain sync for creative timing effects.
FJ Wireless Ecosystem Integration
Westcott's optional FJ triggers and speedlights are compatible thanks to a built-in 2.4 GHz receiver for convenient wireless control. The FJ400-SE is part of the brand's FJ wireless ecosystem, which makes it suitable for use with your existing equipment. It offers 16 groups and 32 channels with a generous wireless operating distance of up to 328'. The system provides reliable communication even under high-interference environments. In additon, an optical sensor and a 3.5mm sync port enable additional triggering options.

A Bowens S mount and a 9mm umbrella receptacle support a wide range of separately available light modifiers, such as softboxes, beauty dishes, and umbrellas. The strobe has an integrated tilting bracket with a 5/8" receiver for safe mounting. Westcott includes a 55° magnetic reflector and a color correction gel set that packs a CTO, 1/2-CTO, window green, diffusion, and a gel frame. Use these accessories to match ambient light or achieve different coloring options.

AVC photo video store ships most international packages with Fedex International & UPS International. Shipping fees are calculated on a combined basis of weight, value (for insurance purposes), and destination. Some orders are shipped in multiple parcels. We do not add additional fees to your order if we ship in multiple parcels. Fedex & UPS Mail is also available for many destinations. Fedex Mail & UPS Mail is a hybrid service from Fedex & UPS that delivers to many international countries. The final delivery from this service is by the Post of that specific country.

Drop-Ship items will be shipped to us from our supplier before being shipped to you. Oversized items that don’t fit Parcel Services standards will be shipped via an International freight forwarder via Door-to-Airport or Door-to-Door service, depending on your location. The carrier will call you to inform you of your delivery method.

Fees & Shipping Cost

Your country’s import duties, taxes and fees are never included in the item and shipping totals. For these fees, please refer to our Duties & Taxes section. Original outbound shipping costs are nonrefundable. 

Refused or Returned Deliveries

If an order is refused or returned to us due to inaccurate or incorrect address information or because it was declined or undeliverable, AVC photo video store reserves the right to retain the original shipping/handling fee and to charge the payment method originally used for costs we incur related to the return of the undeliverable packages or merchandise to us.
